  4. Patti L. Guzman 20 Years • Patti was born in Beaver Falls, PA and moved to Florida in 1984. • She attended Daytona Beach Community College, moved to Orlando and transferred to UCF where she earned a degree in accounting. • Patti was hired by Orange County in 1993 as an Accounts Payable Supervisor in the Comptroller’s Office. • She transferred to the Finance Department, promoted to Accountant, and then Senior Accountant, and has now worked in the Public Safety Communications Division for 8 years. • Patti was a member of the 2007 Employee Academy. • On Election days, she works as the Internet Oath Person with the Supervisor of Elections’ Office.

  5. Patti Guzman - 20 Years • Patti worked on the radio system upgrade to the 911 system. • She has a 13 year old son: JJ, who attends East Ridge Middle School; and she has an eight year old yellow Labrador named Loo. • Patti volunteers with her church as a Sunday School Teacher and greeter. • She enjoys going to the movies and is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. *

Tajuana Walker Collier20 Years • Tajuana was born and raised in Orlando, graduated from Jones High School and attended South Carolina State University. • She first started working for Orange County in 1993 as a Permit Analyst I in the Building Department. • Tajuana was promoted to Analyst II, and left the Building Department in 2000 to become a Code Enforcement Officer.

  8. Tajuana Collier - 20 Years • Tajuana has been recognized at the Mayor’s Coffee twice and selected as Employee of the Quarter. • She has been involved with the ReNew Program in South Apopka, Zellwood, and Tangerine. • Tajuana has been married to Henry for 19 years and has four daughters: Ebony, Essence, Emoni, and Eryana. • In her spare time, she volunteers with the South Central Pop Warner Cheer Squad and enjoys time with her family. *

  9. Convention Center Facility Operations

  10. Brian G. Kennedy 20 Years • Brian was born in Wilkes Barre, PA and moved to Orlando in 1985 while serving in the Navy. • He served in the Navy for 14 years and was stationed on many vessels, including aircraft carriers and submarines. • Brian served an additional 8 years in the Naval Reserve. • He was hired by Orange County in 1993 as a Maintenance Person I with the Highway Department working as a Flagman. • Brian was promoted and transferred to the 33rd Street Maintenance Facility as a Maintenance Technician.

  11. Brian Kennedy - 20 Years • Brian has been promoted several times, including: Air Conditioning Mechanic I and II; Maintenance Coordinator, MIP Project Coordinator. He was tasked with overseeing the Phase V Convention Center. • He monitored all the mechanical, plumbing and kitchen equipment installations and was subsequently promoted to Assistant HVAC Supervisor. • Brian also supervised the installation and construction of the solar panels on the North/South Convention Center Building. • He has been married to Tania for 6 years. • His hobbies include: cars, motorcycles, building and repairing computers, and spending time with his wife. *

Noel Todd Krause 25 Years • Todd was born in Trenton, New Jersey, graduated from Klein High School in Spring, Texas and moved to Florida in 1962. • Todd was originally hired by the Orange County Convention Center in 1985 on a prime-time basis in the Technical Services Section. • He worked as a Stagehand during concerts, operating the spotlight and houselights. • Todd was hired as a full time employee in 1988 as a Technician in charge of the telephone system.

  14. Todd Krause - 25 Years • Todd later worked on the lighting design for the Chapin Theater and was subsequently promoted to Rigging Coordinator, where he now works on large scale events, including: PGA, InfoComm, National Plastics Expo, and Healthcare Information and Management Systems. • He has been married to Debbie for five years. • In his spare time, Todd enjoys playing the guitar, gardening, fishing and traveling. *

  15. Lawanda Dechelle Drummer 20 Years • Lawanda was born and raised in Orlando, graduated from Evans High School and Valencia Community College. • She was hired to work at the Fire Loss Management Office in 1993. • Lawanda was promoted and transferred to the Convention Center in the Event Management Division in 1998. • She is currently working for Event Operations. • Lawanda has served as the United Way Representative for her division for the past four years.

  16. Lowanda Drummer - 20 Years • Lawanda is President of the Board of Directors of the Lillian Brown Seays Foundation, which hosts the Onyx Awards, a fund-raising event for children with Sickle Cell Disease. • She also works with the Kenard Lang Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to high school seniors who have family members battling cancer. • She is a member of the New Covenant Baptist Church of Orlando and is the current Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School and a member of the Health Related, Women’s and Mission ministries. • Lawanda enjoys traveling, photography, event planning and shoe shopping. *

Rose Marie Brown - 20 Years • Rose was born in Marianna, FL and moved to Orlando in 1973. • She graduated from Jones High School and the University of Central Florida with a degree in business administration-accounting. • Rose was initially hired by the Comptroller’s Office as an Accounts Payable Specialist in 1993 and was transferred to the Convention Center in 1995 as a Financial Coordinator.

  19. Rose Brown - 20 Years • Rose was promoted to Senior Financial Analyst in 2004 and in 2013 to Financial Administration Supervisor. • She is a certified Convention Services Professional and is studying to be a Certified Government Finance Officer. • She is currently working towards her theology degree at Faith Christian University. • Rose has been married to her high school sweetheart, James, for 18 years, and they have two children: Faith, 14; and Jeremiah, 11. • Her hobbies include reading and traveling and volunteering at a women’s shelter with her church. *

  20. Convention Center Security

  21. Sandra Dailey 20 Years • Sandra was born in East Orange, NJ, graduated from Abraham Clark High School, and Rutgers University. • She moved to Orlando in 1993. • Sandra started with Orange County in 1993 as a Corrections Aide. • In 1997 she was promoted to Event Security Supervisor at the Convention Center. • She has worked in the Sales, Marketing, Event Management, and Exhibitor Services Divisions.

  22. Sandra Dailey - 20 Years • Sandra has assisted with the implementation of the Customer Relations Module System and the Event Business Management Software that is utilized at the Convention Center. • She is CPR and AED certified. • Sandra loves to travel, shop and read, and she volunteers with her church in the choir. *

  24. Janice S. Addison 25 Years • Jan was born in Oklahoma City (She is an Okie, but not from Muskogee). • She earned a degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University and a master’s of public administration from UCF. • In 1988, she was hired as the Assistant Manager for the Office of Management and Budget, and promoted to Manager in 1989. • Jan moved to the Convention Center in 1992 as the Business Manager. • In 2008, Jan became a Certified Facilities Executive (CFE) through the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), one of only 300 people internationally.

  25. Janice Addison - 25 Years • Jan has served as the Chief Financial Officer for 20 years, and was recently promoted to Deputy General Manager. She leads the Center’s sustainability efforts, and the divisions of Facility Operations, Event Operations and Business. • She is the co-creator of the Center of Hospitality Program. • Jan just completed serving as the Chair of the International Convention Center/Exhibit Hall Committee and was elected to the IAVM’s Board of Directors as their Sector Director for Convention Centers. • She has been married forever to her high school prom date: Gary, they have two children: Keri, and Todd; and three grandchildren: Alex, Lilly, and Evan.

  26. Janice Addison - 25 Years • Jan enjoys painting, loves to read, and likes to fish, her memorable catch was a 9-foot Marlin in Cabo San Lucas. • She is a member of the Leadership Club for United Way. • Jan serves on the Board for the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce, and is a past-president. • She has also served as an Adjunct Professor with the UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. *

  28. Noemi Perez Pacheco 25 Years • Noemi was born in San Jose, Cuba and immigrated to the US in 1981. • She moved to Orlando from Long Island for better weather, and graduated from Colonial High School. • Noemi started with the Orange County Corrections Department as a Mail Clerk in 1988, where she was one of four employees working in a small room with one phone and one table, but did a great job.

  29. Noemi Pacheco – 25 Years • Noemi and the other mail clerks were moved to the Central Booking Facility, and then finally to the 4th Floor of the Administration Building. • The mail clerk team understands the importance of their job, where they have intercepted drugs, and other contraband sent through the mail, but the most heart-warming is the hand-made Christmas cards sent by the children to family members in the jail. • Noemi has been married for 25 years to Ed, and they have two sons: Joel, 23, currently serving in the military; and Adrian, 20. • In her spare time, Noemi loves traveling, exploring the world, reading the Bible and she thanks God for His many blessings, and she tries to make everyone’s day a little better.*

  31. Rachel E. McCoy 20 Years • Rachel was born in Buffalo, NY, moved to Milwaukee and then to Central Florida in 1993, earned a Certificate from Orlando Vo-Tech and graduated from Orlando College. • She received a certification in medical assisting and health care administration from Orlando College, and a bachelor’s degree from Warner Southern College in Organizational Management in 2000. • She has since earned a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Cornerstone University, and degrees from Keller Graduate School in Business Administration (2007) and Project Management (2011).

  32. Rachel McCoy – 20 Years • Rachel started her career with Orange County in 1993 in the Department of Community Affairs. • She has held numerous positions including: Clerical Specialist, Senior Secretary, Acting Executive Secretary, Acting Personnel Services Coordinator, Office Supervisor, Business Unit Technician, and is currently a Project Coordinator. • She completed the Supervisory Training Program (2002), numerous online FEMA Emergency Management Institute training certificates, and the Employee Academy Program (2008). • Rachel is honored to be the widow of James McCoy and mother to Rochelle, Marquise, and Eric. • She serves as a mentor with the Jobs Partnership Program at her place of worship, and is the assistant to the Co-Pastor. • Rachel loves to sew, bake, read, shop, sing, and help others. *

  34. Amanda F. Clayton 20 Years • Amanda was born in Arcadia, FL, graduated from DeSoto County High School, moved to Orlando in 1989 and graduated from Orlando College. • Amanda was hired by Orange County Corrections in 1993 to work in the dockets section of the Main Facility. • She was transferred to the Orange County Convention Center, then to the John Bridges Head Start Center, and is currently working at the main Head Start Office.

  35. Amanda Clayton – 20 Years • Amanda has volunteered with the landscaping and playground area improvement project at the Pine Hills Head Start Center. • She has one daughter: Amiraca, 16. • In her spare time, Amanda enjoys watching movies and television, sporting events, playing games, drawing, spending time with her family, shopping and just relaxing. *

Kenneth “Randy” Lewis 25 Years • Randy was born in Xenia, OH, educated in Tennessee and moved to Central Florida in 1988. • He earned a degree in communications from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville and earned a master’s degree from UCF. • He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

  38. Randy Lewis – 25 Years • Randy is certified to conduct pre-marital and marital assessments, and teach and facilitate Relationship Education classes. • He was hired with Orange County in 1988 to work as an In-Home Family Counselor in the Great Oaks Village Division. • Randy was promoted to Senior Counselor in 1994, and in 1996 Program Supervisor of Contracts and Quality Assurance in the Youth and Family Services Division. • In 1998, he became the Program Manager for the Family Education and Home Visitor Program and managed a staff of 15. • In 2000, he became the Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator for the Citizens’ Commission for Children, and oversees the contracts and budgets and performs data analysis on grant applications.

  39. Randy Lewis – 25 Years • Randy was selected to serve on the Family Services Department’s Great Oaks Village transition team, where he trains staff for trauma informed care and assists with issues related to Medicaid. • He also serves as a Portfolio Advisor for the Family Development Credentialing process, where he assists workers in developing their skills as a case manager. • Randy has worked with the QA Team and the PCAN committee. • He has been married to Donna for 24 years, and they have two children: Rebekah (an intern at Animal Services); and Ben, a freshman at Valencia studying EMS Technology. • Randy enjoys relationship counseling with couples, teaching psychology, research and relationship education, and teaching at his church, and hopes to work in a marriage ministry soon. *

  41. Mark K. Smothers 25 Years • Mark was born and raised in Florida, graduated from Oak Ridge High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Barry University. • He is currently working on a master’s degree in public administration. • Mark started with Orange County Fire Rescue in 1988 as a Paramedic/Firefighter serving in the Orange Blossom and Holden areas. • In 1991, he was assigned to the police academy and was a member of the Sheriff’s “Chase” helicopter unit.

  42. Mark Smothers – 25 Years • Mark served from 2000 to 2006 on the Orange County Fire Star Medical Rescue Helicopter Team. • He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2006 and assigned to Station 51. • In 2009, he was assigned to the Office of Public Information and Life Safety Education Bureau, and in 2011 promoted to Battalion Chief. • Mark has received numerous Letters of Commendation, the Distinguished Service Award for a high speed chase that ended with Mark jumping into the St. John’s River in an attempt to save the entrapped occupant. • In 2004, he received the Robert M. Duplis Award for Excellence in Advanced Life Support. • Mark is married to Denice, and they have two children: Jessica, and Austin. • In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, songwriting, and paddle boarding. *

  43. Public WorksRoads and Drainage

  44. James D. Duglas 25 Years • James was born and raised in Orlando and graduated from Oak Ridge High School. • James started with Orange County in 1988 with the MSTU section as a Maintenance Person I and promoted to Equipment Operator III in 1995. • He is currently in training to operate the backhoe.

  45. James Duglas – 25 Years • James was a member of the team that installed new sidewalks on Salem Drive in the Meadow Woods area and the renovations on Narcoossee Road. • He was a member of the debris removal team after the hurricanes of 2004. • James is committed to helping his church and is part of the church security team. • In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, going to the mall, traveling, and his favorite hobby is praising the Lord. *

  46. UtilitiesFiscal and Operational Support

  47. Bonny Renee Campis 25 Years • Bonny was born in San Rafael, CA and moved to Central Florida in 1983. She graduated from Santa Rosa High School and attended Orlando College where she studied Law for three years. • She was hired by Orange County Public Works Roads and Drainage in 1988 as an Administrative Specialist. • Bonny was promoted to Administrative Assistant and transferred to Utilities in 2005.

  48. Bonny Campis – 25 Years • Bonny was recognized for her outstanding service with Public Works. • She assisted with the FEMA documentation and audit from the 2004 hurricanes. • Bonny has been instrumental in the United Way fund raising campaign. • She has been married to Robert for 13 years, and she has two children: Nickolas, and Brittany; two step children: Robert, and Randi; and two grandsons: Tyler, and Jeffrey. • Bonny enjoys traveling, especially on cruises, visiting family in California, and spending quality time with her family. *

  50. Gary L. Humphreys 25 Years • Gary was born in Hinton, WV, and moved to Central Florida in 1986. • He graduated from Hinton High School. • Gary holds a Water Distribution Operator Level I license. • He was hired by Orange County in 1988 to work with Roads and Drainage as an Equipment Operator I. • Gary was quickly promoted to Equipment Operator IV in the Water Division.
