  5. PCMS Lunch Expectations For 7th Grade

  6. Why lunchroom rules? • To prevent chaos and disorder in the lunchroom, all the 7th grade teachers have devised a plan for making the lunchroom experience better for everyone. • There will be consequences if these rules are not followed. The consequences may include: • Losing snack privileges. • Having your teachers sit at the table with you. • ISS lunch

  7. When You Arrive in the Lunchroom… • Sit where your teacher has assigned you. • If you brought your lunch, get napkins, etc…, and sit down. Do NOT get back up without permission. • If you eat school lunch… • Stand in line appropriately without horseplay. • Be respectful to lunchroom staff and follow their directions. • Get ALL items needed for lunch the first time (such as condiments, napkins, forks, etc.) • Do NOT get out of your seat without a bathroom pass or snack pass. • Wait until your teacher tells you to throw away your tray.

  8. Snack Passes • ALL students will use a snack pass to go to the snack shack. • Teachers will be monitoring and you WILL NOT be allowed to get a snack without a snack pass. • There will be no loitering behind the columns after purchasing snacks.

  9. Restroom Passes • Please use your team’s restroom passes and return to the teacher table.

  10. When the 8th grade goes to connections • You are to stay at your seats. • Line up when your teachers ask you to line up. • If 8th graders call you to them, tell them you have to stay where you are.

  11. Incentive Chart • 7 Raiders will offer the opportunity for well-behaved classes to be rewarded. • Each class may earn 5 points per class period toward that reward. • Points will be deducted when classroom procedures are not following and learning is disrupted. • Further information will be given in each class.

  12. Noise Control • For learning to take place, it is important that noise levels remain appropriate. • Your teacher will assign color-coded noise levels for various activities. = no talking = quietly collaborating with neighbor = group work with reasonable noise level
