  1. Outlining on MS Word An easy how to.

  2. Open MS Word

  3. Click view, then outline

  4. It should look like this.

  5. Type up the topic sentence in Header 1

  6. Press Enter, then the green right arrow (demote)

  7. Continue to type and demote.

  8. When finished the paragraph, click the 2 left arrows (promote to Level 1)

  9. And that’s it! Go to Mr. Grogan’s website for the template, and click on Civil War Outline Template. Voila!
