  1. INTERNET CLAUDIA MEDINA COMPUTER WHY INTERNET IS IMPORTANT IN OUR LIVES

  2. The Internet was the result of some visionary thinking by people in the early 1960s who saw great potential value in allowing computers to share information on research and development in scientific and military fields. J.C.R. Licklider of MIT first proposed a global network of computers in 1962, and moved over to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in late 1962 to head the work to develop it. History of Internet

  3. Charley Kline at UCLA sent the first packets on ARPANet as he tried to connect to Stanford Research Institute on Oct 29, 1969. The system crashed as he reached the G in LOGIN! Who was the first to use the Internet?

  4. According to a CNN transcript of an interview with Wolf Blitzer, Al Gore said,"During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." Al Gore was not yet in Congress in 1969 when ARPANET started or in 1974 when the term Internet first came into use. Gore was elected to Congress in 1976. In fairness, Bob Kahn and Vint Cerf acknowledge in a paper titled Al Gore and the Internet that Gore has probably done more than any other elected official to support the growth and development of the Internet from the 1970's to the present . Did Al Gore invent the Internet?

  5. No one actually owns the Internet, and no single person or organization controls the Internet in its entirety. The Internet is more of a concept than an actual tangible entity, and it relies on a physical infrastructure that connects networks to other networks. Who Owns the Internet?

  6. Internet makes our live the easiest. • Also because it has made information available in a quick and easy manner. • It has revolutionized communications and social networking, creating a zone which was so international that new law had to be designed to govern it. Why Internet is important!

  7. There is no doubt that the Internet has had a massive impact on the lives of everyone who has access to it. It is a truly fascinating phenomenon because if the Internet were to disappear tomorrow, the majority of people would struggle to manage without it. This is one of the answers of the community about internet.

  8. The Internet is a global network connecting millions of computers. More than 100 countries are linked into exchanges of data, news and opinions. According to Internet World Stats, as of December 31, 2011 there was an estimated 2,267,233,742 Internet users worldwide. This represents 32.7% of the world's population. Everything about Internet.

  9. The Internet is not synonymous with World Wide Web. The Internet is a massive network of networks, a networking infrastructure. It connects millions of computers together globally, forming a network in which any computer can communicate with any other computer as long as they are both connected to the Internet. The World Wide Web, or simply Web, is a way of accessing information over the medium of the Internet. It is an information-sharing model that is built on top of the Internet. Is Web and Internet the Same?
