Children witnessing domestic violence and abuse during access • In addition to direct abuse disclosures, in 1,221 calls it was reported that children were present in the home where domestic violence took place. • 261 women disclosed to the Women’s Aid Helpline that their abuser was using access visits to continue the domestic violence against her. • On 68 occasions women disclosed that their children were being physically, emotionally and sexually abused during unsupervised access visits with their fathers.

Supporting Migrant Women in 2012 • 271 calls from migrant women to the Women’s Aid National Freephone Helpline. • 30% of one to one support visits were with women from migrant communities. • 12,305 visits to the translated sections of www.womensaid.ie. • 94 Helpline calls through our Telephone Interpretation Service.
