  1. HOW HYPERHIDROSIS CAN BE TREATED? LIFESTYLE CHANGES Some lifestyle changes, such as wearing loose- fitting clothing and avoiding spicy foods, can help reduce sweating. Stress management techniques may also help reduce sweating in some individuals. ANTIPERSPIRANTS Over-the-counter or prescription-strength antiperspirants can help reduce sweating by blocking sweat glands. IONTOPHORESIS This involves soaking the affected area in the water while a low electrical current is applied. This treatment is often used for excessive sweating of the hands and feet. BOTOX INJECTIONS Botox can be injected into the affected area to block the nerves that trigger sweat glands. This Hyperhidrosis Injections treatment is most commonly used for excessive sweating of the underarms. SURGERY In severe cases, surgery may be recommended to remove sweat glands or cut the nerves that trigger them.
