  1. PaperRoller CoasterLab Students used textbook covers and tape to construct roller coasters for marbles. The roller coasters had to have at least one hill and one turn.

  2. Roller Coasters Used in the Lab The six sturdiest roller coasters were used in a lab. Students measured time, distance, and displacement. Then they calculated speed and velocity. Finally, students were asked to explain their results and draw conclusions about the relationship between distance, displacement, speed, and velocity.
