Family Theme in FLES Class: Project Overview for Parents

Dear Parents, This quarter in FLES class, students will explore the theme of family (la familia). They will learn about family members, adjectives, and clothing. After completing lessons, students will create a visual project—either a poster, PowerPoint, or video—to present to the class. Projects will begin in class, with presentations due in the next Spanish session. Please encourage your child to finish any work not completed during class and to practice at home. Detailed project instructions will be provided in class.

  1. Dear Parents: • For this quarter in FLES class, we will cover the theme of the family (la familia). Your child will learn about (1) family members (2) adjectives, and (3) clothing. After all the lessons have been completed on this theme, students will create either a poster, PowerPoint or video as a visual tool to present to the class. Students will begin their projects in class and presentations will be due during the next Spanish (FLES) class. Please have students finish anything not completed in class and practice at home. • The instructions for this theme’s project are as follows: Students will bring/ draw a picture/ create a video or power point of one of their family members. Using their visual, they will introduce themselves, state who the person in the picture is, describe them and tell the audience what is he/she wearing. The sentences below are for your information. Your child will have his/her own copy.
