Capitulate - v. - to give up resistance Ex. He finally capitulated and agreed to do the job my way. 4. Deprecating - adj. - to express earnest disapproval of Ex. He could not be more deprecating when speaking of the current government. 5. Glean - v. - to learn, discover, or find out, usually little by little or slowly Ex. If you ask politely, you’re sure to glean the information needed. 6. Obfuscate - v. - to make obscure or unclear Ex. Stopping obfuscating the problem with useless. information. 7. Pallid – adj. – faint in color; pale 8. Primeval - adj. - of or pertaining to the first age or ages, esp. of the world Ex. The archeologist specialized in studying primeval forms of life. 9. Salubrious - adj. - favorable to or promoting health; healthful Ex. We vacation in the mountains for the salubrious air. 10. Solicitous – adj. - anxious or concerned (usually fol. by about, for,  etc., or a clause) Ex. She is the kind of mother who always seems solicitous about her children’s health.
