  2. TSDL: New State Data Mandate • Was a result of Federal Law / ARRA • America Competes Act requires all teachers to be linked to students. • Michigan formed a workgroup to comply with MDE’s request for the data. 02/18/2011 - NC RESA

What Data Will It Include? • 2010-2011 Data • Course data with new subject area (req.) and course identifier codes (optional until 11-12) • Identification of courses with national subject area codes • All teachers linked to courses with PIC code (REP) • Credits granted if secondary grade selected • Completion status • Some fields are optional, but will be required in 2011-2012 submission 02/18/2011 - NC RESA

  19. Timeline • Early fall 2011: • MDE will provide districts with measures for all educators based on data from the 2009-10 & 2010-11 school years. 02/18/2011 - NC RESA

  20. When Is It Due? • Submission window opens in May and remains open until August 31st. • Multiple uploads can be processed but can only be certified once. • Should allow for districts to work on data over summer and let appropriate staff review before certification 02/18/2011 - NC RESA

  21. Who Will Submit The Data? • Local counselors will have to review secondary courses to identify subject and course identifiers (see SCED codes) and enter in student databases (Skyward, Infinite Campus) • Data files will be created by NCATS from Skyward • Data is uploaded by local authorized MSDS users • Edits can be made before certifying • No Macomb Software at this time 02/18/2011 - NC RESA
