  3. Drank….. • Barley to make weak beer. • Not a lot of water • River water was often polluted. • Wine was imported from the Mediterranean but only drunk by the very rich.

  4. Some Meat….. • Pigs - only for their meat • Fish • Sheep - for wool and meat

  5. Cooking Materials….. • Clay bread oven • Skillets and griddles • Cauldrons - for stew and soup
