  2. Goals for today… • To guide you through the • MyData website • Follow-up: • Teachers will collaborate and share best practices for MyData applications • Brainstorm ways to utilize the MyData website in order to strategically target student needs

  3. Accessing MyData Option 1: mydata.lausd.net Option 2:

  4. Default Page for teachers – “Class Roster” Tab Page lists: Students, Demographics, Attendance, and Cum. GPA Go here to select the period(s) you wish to view

  5. 3 DashboardsClassroom – School - Search Each has a drop down menu Here you can look at data for your current students as well as former students

  6. 3 Dashboards Each has a drop down menu Here you can search for a variety of data including, attendance, API/AYP, to Periodic Assessments. In addition, you can look at specific groups of students.

  7. SCHOOL Drop Down Menu: Alerts, Secondary MEASURED AREAS CST scores – Periodic Assessments Grades – Attendance Rate - CAHSEE - # of Suspensions – Cum GPA Count of “at risk” factors Great tool for Administrators, Counselors and Intervention Coordinators

  8. Default Page for Teachers –“Class Roster” Tab Clicking on headers can organize data by that field Reminder – by default, “class roster” will give you a list of all students alphabetically. Filter by period if desired. Clicking on student ID numbers gives you a comprehensive student history report

  9. Comprehensive Student History Report Summary All hyperlinked items lead to another report Let’s click on the CST link here

  10. CST Results for Individual Students Can see history of student CST performance level and scores by strand. Can also see trends of a student’s strengths and weaknesses

  11. Comprehensive Student History Report Periodic Assessment History FYI – until students take the periodic assessments this year, you will have to look at previous year’s data From the center column section marked “SOAR/Periodic Assessments” choose a subject you want to view

  12. Comprehensive Student History Report Mathematics Periodic Assessments Can see overall Band Placement, Points Possible, # and % Correct You can also see the Strand and Standard breakdowns. Note the points possible to ID high frequency standards.

  13. Back to Class Roster Click on a specific Student’s ID who is indicated as Special Ed Remember: You can find current student data under the “Classroom” dashboard

  17. Core Subjects, Secondary TAB Information in alpha order on: Current demographics Attendance Grades Periodic assessments (success and struggle standards) CST Scores & Placement (change from prior year) Choose subject area

  18. CST TAB Choose subject area Data can be displayed in numerous formats To view specific ethnic, language, grade etc., select from the left side menu Click on the percent or number of students in any category to find out which specific students fell in that category

  19. Let’s click on the CST test name here CST Results by Content Strand Statewide and My Class Results displayed by subject & grade level by content strand Gives overall student performance by subject and content cluster Gives percent scoring proficient in each strand

Specific Student Data by Strand Displays the percentage each student scored correct in each strand By going to the classroom drop down menu…you may choose to look at this data for current students as well as former students This data gives teachers specific areas of student strengths and weaknesses.

Considerations for MyData use Follow-up: Teachers will collaborate and share best practices for MyData applications Brainstorm ways to utilize the MyData website in order to strategically target student needs How do teachers use MyData? (Parent Conferences, IEPs, 1802 Conferences, Intervention, Curriculum Planning) How does your administrative staff utilize the information in MyData? (plan PD, classroom observation, assistance & guidance) What strategies have you used to train teachers to analyze data? Are specific groups and/or departments on campus finding any one report beneficial? (i.e. Counselors, Intervention Coordinator) Which reports have you found to be most helpful? How are you going to train your faculty on using MyData? (Will you use department meetings? PD time? Common Planning Time?)
