  3. Performing and Composing • 2 Performances 30% • Solo • Ensemble • 2 Compositions (Course work)40% • Both related to an area of study (related to listening element)

  4. Listening – 30% • 5 areas of study • Music in Wales • Music Evolution • Musical Structure • Music for Stage and Screen • Music for Special Occasions • Together with some aural questions

  5. Plan for the Year • 1st Half Term • Listening • Some performing • November – Christmas • Listening • Composition – ideally completed by Christmas • Some performing – preparation for xmas concert • You will all be expected to take part in the Xmas concert

  6. Plan for the Year • January/Feb – • Composition – if not finished • Performances – your performance exam will be at the end of February, beginning of March • March-Easter • Listening revision • Past papers
