  2. PLAN • Download the necessary files from Course Marker Website: • CMC Client(cmc.zip) • JDK 1.6 / JRE 1.6(jdk-6u16-windows-i586.exe) • JRE 1.5(jre-1_5_0_20-windows-i586-p.exe) • SoC-VPN(socvpn-1.0.2-install.exe)

  3. DO • Extract Course Marker Client (CMC) • Install JDK 1.6, JRE 1.6 • Install JRE 1.5 • Install SoC VPN

  4. CHECK (Installation) • Check Installed Location • Check CMC (C:\cmc) • Check JDK 1.6 (C:\jdk1.6) • Check Java Runtime Environment (JRE) • Check JRE 1.6 Ready (java –version:1.6) • Check JRE 1.5 Ready (java –version:1.5) • Check SoC-VPN (Note for Windows Vista) • Check “Run as Administrator” Privilege Level is Enable

CHECK (Connection) • Inside SoC Sites • NUS Wireless Connection • Do not need to connect to SoC VPN. • NUSOPEN Wireless Connection • Need to connect to SoC VPN. • Outside SoC Sites, within NUS Premises • NUS Wireless Connection • Do not need to connect to SoC VPN. • NUSOPEN Wireless Connection • Do not need to connect to SoC VPN. • At Home, outside NUS • Internet (ISP) Connection • Need to connect to SoC VPN.
