  2. Useful tools in your academic life@JU • Course Catalog: • Go to ju.edu • then go to “Academics” • then go to “Course Catalog” • Campus Directory

Blackboard • Announcements: use the view all option • Course information • Course documents: • How to purchase and install myITLab • Lecture slides • Documents for labs • Cool stuff!! • Communication • Discussion board: where you can discuss the project areas you are interested (like messages on twitter or FB)

Assignment submission on BlackBoard • Go to “Assignments” • Click View/Complete Assignment: HW0 • Click “Browse” (next to attach document) • Find the document you need to attach • Click OK • Important: • Click “Save” if you want to save one document and continue later submitting another document. • Click “Submit” if you are done uploading documents • Once you click “Submit” you cannot edit the assignment or add anything else

MyITlab • Practice exercises: • These will be the same exercises we do in class. • They will include instructions in case you forgot what we did in class. • Homework: • Practice what we did in class with a different scenario. • You will need to upload: Word doc, or Excel spreadsheet, or PowerPoint presentation
