Gain Work Experience in related fields after attaining your Certifications? If you answered YES to any of these questions then this is the program for you. A career in Administration and Customer Service may be right for you!

  4. WIA ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS • Between the ages of 16-21 • Meet Income Guidelines • Have Challenges to Employment • Have Limited Work Experience

  5. PAID TRAINING 35 Hours Work Readiness and Work Maturity Training 10 hours Life Skills Training Workshops 10 hours Civic Responsibility Training 10 hours College Bound Workshop 5 hours

  6. YIP Industry Recognized Certifications Certifications Offered: • NRF Professional Certification in Customer Service and Sales • Intro to the Retail Industry • Customer Service • Selling and Service • Store Operations • Getting the job • Microsoft Office Certifications • Microsoft Office Word 2010 • Microsoft Office Excel 2010 • Microsoft Office Excel 2010 Expert

  7. Paid Work Experience Training (WEX) • Up to 30 Hours per week • $8.00/ Hour • Up to 8 weeks • Up to 240 hours total • Placed at worksites related to Administration and Customer Service

  8. CAREER EXPLORATION • Job shadowing opportunities • Individual research on career of interest conducted by participant • Vital Link will provide career exploration through their experiential learning. • Labor Market information will be provided about the retail and administration industry

  9. Supportive Services • High School Completion or GED Completion • Shoes and Clothing vouchers • Transportation (bus passes and gas cards) • Child Care Assistance • Tools and professional supplies • Books and school supplies

  10. Youth Innovation ProgramBenefits • All fee’s are covered (books, supplies, etc.) • Metrix Learning • Training from ETPL list • Receive industry- recognized certifications upon completion of course from Microsoft Office and the National Retail Federation for Customer Service
