OLZA (Olše). The river that flows through Třinec and its pollution. Our project activities on WATER POLLUTION in Třinec. We tried to find out as much as possible about water pollution ... We created some crosswords for our friends linked with the environment .

  13. Nowweknowthatifwewant to havecleanerwaterways, somemeasuresmustbetaken. First, discharges to waterfromindustrialprocesses shouldbecontrolledandthenumberofsewage treatmentplantsshouldbeincreased.

  15. In Třinec there are twomainsources ofwaterpollution: 1) industrialproduction

  16. 2) communalwaste ( blockedsumpsandcesspools ) ( inconvenientsewerage )

  17. Today these bothsources are underthestrictcontrol.

  19. A lot of money wasinvestedintotheimprovement ofthesituation. Twolargeprojectswerecarriedout: • 1) sewagedisposalplantmodernization (Třinec – Konská) 2,2 mil eur • 2)revitalization of the border river Olza (8 townsandvillageswereincluded) 57 mil eur
