Where are we now? • 16 months of OPD Redesign • Completed or Partially completed 88% of recommendations • Improved - Access & equity, capacity, satisfaction • DNA rate down 21% to 10% • Patients waiting for appointments down by 30% • Waiting time for appointments down by 50% • In-clinic wait time 26m to 3m • Increased Knowledge of metrics • Ability to measure improvements and show real outcomes • Analysis of capacity and demand

Where are we now? • Developed a model for sustainable outpatients improvement. • Balance strategic and local change • Clinic level action with executive support. • Quick Win & Low Cost - ‘Just Do It’ • Identify clinic issues, develop and implement solutions with and according to clinic priorities to achieve ‘Buy in’ • Staged implementation – Multiple pilots across Hospitals/Clinics • Communication/Marketing – tell everyone about successes and it will spread.
