  1. At a candy store selling gourmet jelly beans, the amount you pay varies directly with the weight of the beans. The cost of 5 pounds of jelly beans is $12. During the past month $7200 worth of jelly beans have been purchased. How many pounds of jelly beans were purchased during the past month?
