Round One How much of the £50billion do you need? • To help you convince the Chancellor think about these points: • What are your department’s priorities? • Why is your particular cause so important? • How might the voters view your request? • How does your particular area compare to the other 4 groups? Chancellor allocates funds according to the most persuasive arguments.

  5. Round Two Convince the Chancellor that you should keep ALL your money 2 teams will lose money REMEMBER: You can ask the other teams tough questions too!

  6. Round Three £20billion to repay each department that lost money in the last budget. £5billion to pay for extra police to stop the rioters. £10billion to pay for the damages

  7. Can you raise £35billion? • n Charities do the work for free e.g. health charities & voluntary groups Companies take over public services e.g. private prisons Value Added Tax or Income Tax
