Military Spouse/ Survivor Spouse Appreciation Day –9 May 2014 http://www.mwrbrandcentral.com/HOMEPAGE/monthlyobservances.html • Objective • Military Spouse Appreciation Day (MSAD) is observed each year as a way to honor the contributions, strength, and resilience of military Spouses who have selflessly served alongside their active duty husband and wives. Creative materials: • KeyMessage (to customers) • “Army Spouses put the welfare of their Soldier, Family and Nation above their own. The Army appreciates the sacrifices Army Spouses make and recognize they are the heart and strength of Army Families around the world.” SOS Poster • Target Audiences • -Army Spouses-Gold Star Wives and Husbands -All members of Army Communities and surrounding areas: Soldiers, Families, Retirees, Civilians and Community members Poster/ print materials • Engagement Opportunities • -MSAD print materials should be placed at all ACS, SOS and Family and MWR facilities • -Place media and multimedia products to enhance garrison efforts in promoting local-level event s- see PSA on Brand Central • -Social media messaging — see Social Media corner on Brand Central for suggested messages Timeframe: START May 1 • Display Creative materials • Army Community Service CentersSOS Centers • Family and MWR activities • High traffic facilities on post (AAFES/Commissary) if possible POC Information: Andrea Latimore Andrea.r.latimore.naf@mail.mil; (210) 466-1762 IMCOM G-9, Family and MWR – Marketing Division END May 12
