  3. Learning a Song • How to proceed 1 to find a song that you are interested in 2 to understand the lyrics 3 to repeat every line (without singing) for several times until you can match the tempo used in the song 4 to sing the song after getting the right speed of lyrics

  4. Pronunciation & Repeat ■How to proceed: 1. Make a list of sounds with problems • a particular sound is difficult to be pronounced • words with similar pronunciation • wrong stresses 2. Ask for helps from native speakers 3. to imitate sentences that you heard as closely as possible

  5. Reading Aloud • How to proceed 1 find a text that you can understand, and check its full meaning 2 to concentrate on getting a steady, unhurried rhythm 3 record your sounds by tape

  6. Outspeaking your partner • How to proceed 1 choose a topic which you are both interested in 2 decide how much you plan to contribute to the conversation (e.g. at least 40% of the whole conversation is your contribution) 3 during the conversation, take as much part as you can

  7. Don’t look • How to proceed 1.Suppress eye contact 2. Create a task in which there is an information gap between the speakers ( i.e. one speaker needs to get information from the other speaker in order to complete the task)
