The following are a few kinds of conscience mentioned in Scripture:“seared” conscience (1 Tim. 4:2); “awakened” conscience (Jn. 8:9); “purged” conscience (Heb. 9:9, 14; 10:2); “pure” conscience (Acts 24:16); “weak” conscience (1 Cor. 8:7, 12, 13); “defiled” conscience (Titus 1:15); “witnessing” conscience (Rom. 2:12-15; 9:1; 2 Cor. 1:12); “good” conscience (Acts 2:13; 1 Tim. 1:5, 19; 1 Pet. 2:19; 3:16, 21; Heb. 13:19); and a “convicting” or a “healthy” conscience (Gen. 3:10; 4:13; Mt. 27:3)
