Chapter 1The fun fair One bright and sunny day Alfie and Louise were playing games in the garden. Mum came out to hang up the washing when Louise came up to her and said, “Can we please go to the fun fair and spend some of our pocket money?” Mum didn’t agree as she had heard some terrible things about funfairs. “But we really want to go!" begged Alfie and Louise. “You can only go if you promise to not go near that old, rusty ride.” “Ok mum.”
Page 2 Louise whispered to Alfie, “Let’s go and investigate that old, rusty ride. After we go on all the rides we can eat lots of candyfloss and hot dogs.” “Brilliant idea, Louise, it will be great fun.” Then mum called from the kitchen and said, “let’s go!”
Chapter 2 When they arrive at the funfair they saw all the multicoloured rides and all the crowds gathering for all the side shows. They could hear the screams of the people on the giant rollercoaster called the Dizzy Donut. Alfie and Louise couldn’t wait to go on all the wizzy rides. They went on …….
Page 4 The big wheel, the log flume and got soaked. On the dizzy donut they spun like a spinning top. Of course they went and got some candyfloss and a giant hotdog to share. After lunch the two children saw something that was not right. It was a spooky old ride that had cobwebs absolutely everywhere even under windows……
Chapter 3 Alfie went up to mum and said, “Please can we go and explore the woods because it is full of nature?” “Ok then but don’t go to far or near that old ride.” They went up to the old ride and Alfie went to put his hand on the door knob and the door creaked open on its own. Alfie and Louise entered the basement of the rusty old ride……
Page 6 They saw a funny looking man in a room full of jewels. Louise said to Alfie, “I saw something in the newspaper about missing jewels.” Louise pulled a newspaper out of her bag. It said All the jewels are missing from the museum. If you see them call this number 807839………….
Page 7 At that moment the man turned round. He has a face as wrinkly as a elephants body. He was a evil scientist. He saw the children and he shouted “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?”……
Chapter 4 The evil scientist ran after Alfie and Louise. They ran into the kitchen and grabbed a bag of flour and put it on top of the door. The evil scientist ran in and at that moment the bag of flour fell on his head the scientist fell to the ground….
Chapter 5 Suddenly mum opened the door to the basement and saw Alfie and Louise and all the jewels. Mum said, “What are you doing here” “It’s a long story,” Replied the children. Mum called the police. They could hear the sounds of the police cars coming down the road, they went nee nouw. They came and took the evil scientist to prison and took the jewels back to the town museum.
Page 10 On the trip home Alfie and Louise apologised to mum for not doing what she had said. Alfie asked “Can we have an ice cream when we get home.” Mum and Louise just laughed. Alfie and Louise had learned there lesson and that was to always listen to there mum.
