Ice Breaker • Go to the location designated for: • Class type (physical geology/earth science/environmental geology/environmental science/other) • Number of intro classes per year (0-1/2-3/4-5/6+) • Number of years teaching (0-2/3-6/7-12/13-20/>20) • Type of institution/program (PhD/MS/BS/2YC/Other) • Form a number line by size of class • <50 to  >200

  4. Workshop Goals Compare and contrast InTeGrate lessons and activities with learning goals for existing courses Redesign courses and/or lessons to incorporate suitable InTeGrate activities. Adapt InTeGrate resources to meet the needs of specific learning environments

  5. Self-Inventory Activity • Post-it Note Task • Write two words or a short phrase describing why you selected to participate in this workshop • Place notes at locations indicated. • Review posted notes, and reorganize. • Briefly discuss with colleagues, report out.

  6. Day 1 Workshop Objectives After Day 1, workshop participants will be able to: Describe the goals of the InTeGrate project. Identify the content of at least six InTeGrate modules. Explain the format of the InTeGrate modules. List the five major characteristics of all InTeGrate modules. Describe one or more activities from selected InTeGrate modules.
