What is the ERCGOC? • The Eastern Region CGOC is • An organization that is comprised of the 26 Base CGOC Councils in the Eastern Region of the US • Our Purpose • Promote the professional development of CGOs • Provide an organizational structure to enhance communication among CGOCs and the USAF CGOC • Inform commanders of issues affecting CGOs • Promote espirit de corps among CGOs • Host the ERCGOC Annual Conference attended by representatives from each base.

Goals of the ER CGOC • Improve communication between ERCGOC and local CGOC Chapters • Monthly Updates to ERCGOC Website • Local Chapter Newsletters • Acquire Professional Development Speaker slides • Increase professional development and networking • Provide structure for base CGOCs to raise issues (i.e. JAG issues with fundraising) • Support AF CGOC initiatives • Jointly develop AFI to govern CGOCs Air Force wide with USAF CGOC and other CGOC Regions • Promote esprit de corps!

What is the WRCGOC? • The Western Region CGOC • Created in the early summer of 2001 with the absorption of the Central Region Council • Comprised of the 42 Base CGOC Councils west of the Mississippi • Our Objectives • Promote an infrastructure to provide for understanding, cooperation, and professionalism of CGO’s in the USAF • Function as a catalyst to enhance communication among CGOC’s in the Western US • Enhance individual CGOC’s through regional network by sharing ideas, plans, and lessons learned … • Promote espirit de corps among CGOs • Identify issues affecting company grade officers to commanders of member organizations, and the Junior Officers Advisor Council of the AFA

2004 WRCGOC ConferenceAccomplishments • Held at Peterson AFB, Colorado Jun 2004 • Had 30 bases represented with over 60 CGO’s in attendance • Major Accomplishments: - Revised charter and ratified it - Re-established the region website – wrcgoc.com - Named new Senior Advisor - Continued to support the discussions for an AFI on the “Air Force Professional Council System”
