Question Does this apply to me? • Yes if you are a DoD Civilian employee in the 05XX occupational series assigned to 05XX occupational series position. • Yes – If you are a military members with a financial or Comptroller specialty in a position coded with that specialty. • Yes – if you are a DoD civilian employee in any occupational series performing FM functions, and the Component deems necessary. Question How long do I have to complete the certification? • You have two years from the date you are notified that your position is part of the certification program or two years from the date you enter a position to achieve the certification requirements. What happens if I can’t complete the certification because of deployment, mission requirements, or personal reasons? • Each Component is granted waiver authority to assist with these developments. Does my past training and experience count? • All relevant DoD FM experience and training may count toward your certification requirements. Please work with your supervisor to capture this information.
