WHAT IS HIIT? HIIT is a form of interval training that involves short bursts of exercise performed to a high intensity, with short recovery periods in between each exercise. For example, a HIIT workout might consist of, say, 6 different exercises. You would perform each exercise for roughly 30 seconds, with a 10-second break between each move. You would then take a longer break, of about 45 seconds, and then repeat the set of 6 exercises again in the same way. You can either choose a certain number of sets to do, or you can just keep going beyond your maximum target until you are tired.
