  2. One of these items are missing….Can you spot the error? • Looking at the IEP assigned to your group, kindly highlight the missing information that you notice. • Discuss with your group any additional changes you would make (add/subtract) to the IEP. • Groups will share out findings.

  3. Checklist for Champs! Have I… • Obtained Recent Level One/ARIS information (even for the LTA’s)/Report Card/Attendance, etc. • Checked on the student’s profile to ascertain their ELL eligibility. • Checked their programs for class determination (SC, SETSS, ICT) and make sure it “jives” with what is in CAP in a subject by subject basis. • Make sure that all information is in (NO BLANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) • Spelling and Professional Language is a must!

  4. Instead of stating N/A, we could say… Incorrect Correct At this time, parent /student expressed no concern. _____________________________________________________________________ • N/A • _____________________________________________________________________

  5. IF LTA We must Say….. • Obtain a Level One by phone with parent if no Level One is available. If unable to at all costs, we must present all outreach within IEP. • Two attempts must be made to have the parent verbally/physically sign for the attendance page.(Log in to the events as well). • If LTA or attending-all students should attend their IEP conference and sign the signature page on the day of the scheduled conference!

  6. Jive to make it subscribe…. • Make sure all start dates are the same for ALL SERVICES! • DO NOT PUT ANY END DATES IN!!! • Make sure the Level One information is stated within the Present Levels of Performance and that the goals are aligned to the Level One. • If the student has a paraprofessional, double check the type of para and if the para is entered correctly in SESIS ( Ms. Siegelman or Mr. Henty). • Make sure the AIS strategies are aligned to what is written within the PLOP, Academic Management Needs, and Goals of the IEP. • Double check the Disability Classification-check the profile page for assurance • Make sure on the participation with students without disabilities…scroll to the bottom to make sure that the student is or is not exempt from “Language Other than English Diploma Requirement.” • Make sure the student’s promotion criteria and “other programs considered” are filled out on the summary page as well as “the reason for rejection.” • If you are unsure always use the word “reportedly or appears to be.”

  7. E.T. Phone Home! • If you are able to conduct a phone conference with the parent ahead of time, please let Micky, Mr. Henty, or Ms. Siegelmanknow.

  8. Next Steps • For the upcoming school year ahead, we plan to infuse the AIS plans into Teacher Team discussions. • Paraprofessionals will be required to enter a goal for their assigned student. • Strategies learned through school/department PD will be incorporated as needed into a student’s IEP. Make sure these strategies are added to the “Management Needs within the Students Present Levels of Performance.”
