    4. 2006 DHS Funding $1,518,480 (Expires Jun 2009) $1.410,000 Sub-Grant to 46 NC Community Colleges $600,000 expended to date Nov 08 Withdrew $149,200 from 27 Colleges Nov 08 Awarded $109,300 to 12 Colleges Colleges have plan to expend funds supporting our training

    10. North Carolina Certification Program Level Program Expired on Dec 31, 2008 Type Program has been in effect since March 2006 IAW NIMS Transition Period from “Level” Program to Type Program

North Carolina Certification Program Permanent Certification Review Committee Formed – Jerry VeHaun, Chair NC EM Association has 3 members appointed by President and NCEM has 3 members appointed by Director, NCEM. Current Members rotating off the Committee in July: Elaine Wathen, Dianne Curtis New Members in July: Mike Cook, Doug Haas

    12. North Carolina Certification Program Revised Program Major Changes: Applications are now due 4 weeks before conference Applicants who complete the new Emergency Preparedness Technology Associates Program will be eligible to receive a Type 3 award once Experience requirements are met for the Type III level and the NCEM New Coordinator Workshop and Hazmat Operations Course are successfully completed.

    13. North Carolina Certification Program Major Changes: Continued 3. Courses must be taken within 5 years of submission (Except Hazmat Operations)
