I have learned some interesting facts about space! Venus has a carbon dioxide-rich atmosphere that creates a greenhouse effect, heating the planet to 900 degrees. The Sun, at the center of our solar system, exerts gravity that binds everything together. Mars features stunning geographic features and is known as a barren planet. The Milky Way formed approximately 4.5 billion years ago from a collapsing mass of gas and dust. Mercury, the closest planet to the Sun, experiences extreme temperature fluctuations, reaching up to 800°F during the day and dropping to -300°F at night.

I am learning about space, these are things I have learned about so far. Venuses atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide which is made up of a green house gas that traps the sun’s heat and raises it up to 900 degrees. The sun is in the center, its gravity binds the solar system together. Did you know mars is a baring planet with striking geographic features? Milky way formed about 4 and a half billion years ago when gas and clouds collapsed into a dense mass. The mass began to spin and flatten into a disc. Leftover dust and gas continue to whirl around the sun. The closest planet to the sun is Mercury; a relatively small planet known for its extreme temperature. Mercury’s temperatures can reach up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit minus 300 or so at night.
