  5. Barents Regional Youth Council • BRYC consists of 14 representatives: 13 from the regions and one for the indigenous peoples. The representatives are 18-29 of age and are elected in their own regions. • The aim of BRYC is to make Barents youth connect and get to know each other and help them with networking across the borders. BRYC works on decreasing prejudices and creating unity among Barents youth. • BRYC organizes international events and projects and also supports and cooperates with such projects organized by other bodies. • BRYC is mostly funded by the regions, but also by project funding and the Barents Secretariat.

  6. Annual events • Once a year, BRYC organizes a big event for Barents youth. There is no participation fee and all travel costs are covered by BRYC. About 80 youngsters take part in the three or four-day event. • The objective of the event is to help the youth to make border crossing people-to-people contacts – and have fun together! The event usually features all kinds of activites together and a variety of work shops on art, music, society and entrepreneurship. • The event is held in autumn and all Barents youngsters that are over 18 are welcome to participate! • This autumn we’ll meet in Tromsø, Norway in November.
