“The Half Was Not Told Me”

The problem with “partial evidence”

  • Results in false doctrine – (salvation by grace alone, saved by faith alone, once saved always saved, Premillennialism, Pentecostalism, Oneness doc., etc)
  • Importance of the Inductive method of Bible study – Ps 119:160; 2 Tim 2:15; 3:16,17

“The Half Was Not Told Me”

The problem with “partial evidence”

  • Results in wrong conclusions – (Wrong decisions; faulty judgment; inappropriate actions) – Prov. 18:13
  • Can result in unjust criticism – (of those teaching the truth, in positions of authority; of another’s actions, can destroy another’s character) - Prov. 11:13; 25:2; 1 Tim 6:4
  • Promotes strife and division – Rom. 16:17; 2 Cor. 12:20; Prov 16:28; 1 Tim 6:3-5
