American Patriot’s Bible

After spending some time with the American patriotu2019s bible, we feel like we know enough about what it says to give an opinion about it. A lot of the fuss about this Bible was based on problems with the idea or the way it was described by well-known theologians, not on people's experiences with the Bible itself.

  1. American Patriot’s Bible in Full Review After spending some time with the American patriot’s bible, we feel like we know enough about what it says to give an opinion about it. A lot of the fuss about this Bible was based on problems with the idea or the way it was described by well-known theologians, not on people's experiences with the Bible itself. Despite this, we think The American Patriot's Bible is an odd product. At best, it seems hard to connect the Bible to certain events in American history. For example, in 1 Samuel 4, the Philistines take the Ark of the Covenant, and at the end of the chapter, Phinehas’s wife gives birth to a son and names him Ichabod because "the glory had left Israel." (1Sam. 4:21) A note about "A Nation's Flag" is based on this verse and quotes Henry Ward Beecher as saying: When a thoughtful mind looks at a country's flag, it doesn't just see the flag—it sees the country itself. No matter what its symbols or insignia are, he reads most of the country's government, principles, truths, and history in the flag. (p. 308) There are also a few things in this Bible that we don't think the people who made it would have put there. On page 42, there is a full-page picture of Martin Luther King, Jr., who was a great leader in the Civil Rights Movement but didn't believe that Christ was God or that the Trinity was true. The best thing about the American patriot’s bible, if we’re being honest, is how it looks. It's very nice to look at. The best notes are those that make a little bit of sense, like when a president held his hand over a Bible passage when he was sworn in. Most of the notes seem to be out of place and only loosely connected to the text. Oh, and let's also say that religious freedom is lost when we talk about the faith of our founders, which was mostly Christianity.
