  1. What percentage is required in graduation to appear in the SSC and other competitive exams? SSC majorly conducts many exams such as (namely SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC JE, SSC JHT, SSC GD Constable, SSC CPO, SSC Stenographer, SSC Selection posts, SSC MTS, and SSC Scientific Assistant) and all the exams might have different criteria for age or education and or anything. In this article, we will be discussing about what should be the percentage required in graduation for appearing in any of SSC exam or any other competitive exam as below: SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) Exam The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the CHSL Exam for recruitment to various posts like: Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants (PA/SA) Data Entry Operator (DEO) Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Court Clerk Age Limit - 18-27 years as on the date of application Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent. SSC JE (Junior Engineer) Exam Post Age Limit Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical), Central Water Commission and CPWD 32 years Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), MES 30 years Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical), Department of Post and Junior Engineer (Surveying and contract), MES 18-27 years Minimum Educational Qualification Post Educational Qualification CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil Engineering Junior Engineer (Civil)

  2. from a recognized University/Institute. Central Water Commission – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. Department of Posts – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized University/Institute. Department of Posts- B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Electrical engineering from a recognized University/Institute. MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering works. MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in civil engineering works. MES – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized University/Institute OR Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying (Sub Divisional-II) from the Institute of Surveyors (India). Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical) Junior Engineer (Electrical) Junior Engineer (Civil) Junior Engineer (Electrical) Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) Junior Engineer (Civil) Junior Engineer (QS&C) SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam Age Limit- 18-27 years, Maximum 30 years for some posts Minimum Educational Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) Exam Age limit- Not exceeding 30 years as on the date of application. SSC GD Constable Exam Age limit- 18-23 years as on the date of application. Minimum Educational qualification- A candidate must have passed matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized Board/ University.

SSC CPO (Central Police Organization) Exam Age limit- 20-25 years as on the date of application. Minimum Educational Qualification- Educational Qualification for all posts is Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. SSC Stenographer Exam Age limit- 18-27 years as on the date of application. Minimum Educational Qualification- A candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University to appear in this exam. SSC MTS (Multi-tasking Staff) Exam Age limit- 18-25 years as on the date of application. Minimum Educational Qualification- A candidate must have passed matriculation examination or equivalent from a recognized board. SSC Scientific Assistant Exam Age limit- Not exceeding 30 years as on the date of application. Minimum Educational Qualification- Bachelor’s degree in Science (with Physics as one of the subject)/ Computer Science/Information Technology/ Computer Applications OR Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent.
