  1. What graduation percentage is required in order to be eligible for the UPSC exam? We all are aware of the UPSC exam that has been conducted every year and about lakhs of students attends the exam for various post such as Indian Administrative Services, Indian Police Services and Indian Forest Services and other Central Civil Services. Although, there is a common educational criteria for all the civil services in India and this is because there are mostly the civil services which are generalist in nature. UPSC Eligibility Overview UPSC Age Limit 21 to 32 years Age relaxation As per category (mentioned below) Educational qualification Graduation Nationality Indian citizens only Educational Qualification for UPSC IAS Exam 2020 •As per the official UPSC Civil Services Exam 2019 Notification, the Educational Qualification required to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Exam is a Degree from any recognized university. •This means that the Bachelor of Arts from any Subject, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Technology or Engineering all is equally eligible to appear in the UPSC Civil Services (IAS) Exam 2019. •“The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.” •It means that the candidates, who graduated from the deemed universities incorporated under Section 3 of the UGC Act, are eligible to apply for the Civil Services Exam 2019. •Candidates who are in their final year or awaiting results are also eligible to appear for UPSC preliminary Examination.   2. exams must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with the application for the main IAS examination. •Candidates having professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees. •Medical students who have passed the final year of MBBS, but are yet to complete their internship also have eligibility for IAS. Although, along with the Main Examination application, a certificate of course completion (including internship) from the concerned authority of the University/Institution has to be submitted. No Minimum Percentage Required If you are preparing for the UPSC exam then there is no minimum percentage mentioned anywhere in the UPSC civil service notification that clearly means that the candidates only have to get 33% or the passing percentage in the degree exam and hence they will be eligible for the exam for UPSC civil service. The UPSC civil service exam is level playing field and to compete in the exam it is important for the candidates to just have passing percentage and can appear for the exam.
