  1. E-Waste Recycling in India Electronic waste (E-Waste Recycling Plant) generally comprises discarded computer monitors, motherboards, television sets, mobile phones and chargers, compact discs, headphones, air conditioners, and refrigerators. Around 95 per cent of India's e-waste is reused in the informal sector or private electronic waste recycling companies. Recycled metals are further 2 to 10 times higher energy-efficient than minerals refined from virgin ore. Yet, despite all the rules that have come into place to safely process this hazardous material, close to 80 per cent of e-waste like old laptops and cell phones, cameras and air conditioners, televisions, and LED lamps continues to be broken down, causing massive health and environmental cost polluting groundwater and soil, by the informal sector. India, as of now, has 178 registered Treatment Of E-Waste recyclers accredited by the state governments for electronic garbage disposal. But many of India's e- waste E Waste Aggregators aren't recyclingwaste at all, and even if they are, they use crude manners like burning in the open.

  2. While some are storing it in hazardous conditions, others can't even handle such waste, as per the report of the Union Environment ministry. However, there are still many e-waste recycling companies that the government has verified to follow the rules and act in favour of the environment. Some popular verified e-waste recycling companies are E-Waste Recyclers India, Greenzon Recycling Pvt Ltd, E-Waste Recycle Hub, Clean Tech Pvt Ltd, etc. Ministry of Electronic Waste Recycling Companies and Information Technology initiated an e-waste awareness program under Digital India and all the industries associated with creating awareness among the public about the hazards of electronic goods recycling by the unorganized sector and educate them about alternate methods of disposing of their e-waste. Since India is highly deficient in precious mineral resources, there is a need for a well-designed, strong, and organized Electronic Goods Recycling and Electronic Pick Up recovery regime.
