  3. Introduction In this research, we propose to formalize the notion of social capital by creating a mathematical model of social capital that incorporates the mobilization of social resources through purposive actions.

  13. Conclusion We create a quantitative model for characterizing and providing decision support on how to maximize participation within social networks. The result is a mathematical model of social capital that incorporates the mobilization of social resources through purposive actions.
