  2. Evisort Doubles Down on Growing Platform with New Technology Leader Addition Seasoned leaders join tech company backed by Amity Ventures and Village Global, the venture firm backed by some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, including Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates SAN CARLOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leading AI-powered contract management platform Evisort has tapped Silicon Valley tech industry veteran Francisco Meza to join the company as Vice President of Engineering. Prior to Evisort, Meza was an engineering leader at Invitae and MuleSoft. Meza’s addition to Evisort comes on the heels of the company’s $4.5 million seed funding and increasing customer growth. Evisort has developed proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms that can read and understand meaning in contracts. Originally developed out of the Harvard Innovation Labs by Harvard Law and MIT students in 2016, Evisort is now backed by leading investors, including Amity Ventures, Serra Ventures, and Village Global, which has limited partners like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates. “Evisort is at a pivotal moment in its journey of transforming document management as we expand our customer base nationwide and globally. We will continue to lead advances in AI for contracts and innovation by strengthening and growing our engineering team. Meza’s skills and expertise will be imperative to Evisort’s plans for continued success,” said Jerry Ting, Founder and CEO of Evisort.

  3. Meza will be joining Evisort during a period of significant growth. Coming out of their fundraising earlier this year, Evisort continues to add Fortune 500 clients, AM 100 law firms and enterprise clients globally on a monthly basis. With Meza’s addition, Evisort will be opening a new headquarter in San Mateo, joining the growing technology scene of the city, and making way for a growing team. Leading the engineering department of Evisort, Meza will report directly to the CEO, Jerry Ting. Meza will be leading several new product launches in the coming quarters, including a new, first-to-market product planned for release in Q3 2019. Meza shared, “Evisort is pushing the boundaries of technology and artificial intelligence and I look forward to joining the team in the next phase of growth in transforming document management. Evisort is already embraced by both our users and our investors and I am excited to see where we can take the company next.” Meza brings to Evisort more than 20 years of experience building software and engineering teams. Most recently, Meza served as Senior Director of Engineering at Invitae and was the Director of Engineering at MuleSoft. At Evisort, Meza will be leading a growing, cross functional team of computer scientists building artificial intelligence that can read and understand contracts. The application of artificial intelligence to traditional industries – such as finance, health care and law – has been a growing field of innovation. The specific application of artificial intelligence to the legal technology alone has seen venture capital investment increase by 713% between 2017 and 2018, according to Forbes.
