  3. About Phi Beta Delta • Phi Beta Delta was established in 1986 at the campus of California State University, Long Beach • by Dr. Edward S. Blankenship, then Director of International Programs and Exchanges and • by Dr. Karl W.E. Anatol, then Dean of the School of Humanities. 

  4. About Phi Beta Delta • It is the first honor society dedicated to recognizing scholarly achievement in international education • Over 150 chapters have been formed in U.S. and abroad.

  5. Society Goals • Recognize scholarly achievement • Develop international programming • Provide network of faculty, staff and students

  6. Role On Campus • Develop an international perspective • Promote scholarships and awards • Increase understanding of the international dimension on campus
