Description:
The Federal Aviation Administration reports that a Gate Hold has been issued for all departing flights out of Chicago O'Hare International Airport due to severe thunderstorm activity in the region. The Gate Hold restriction is delaying departing flights by an average of one hour, with delays expected to increase. Media sources report earlier Monday evening that as many as 400 flights scheduled to arrive or depart through the airport have been cancelled due to the weather conditions.
