Who, when and where…? • A bit complicated! • If <82 pupils want to attend: 6th – 9th May, 2014. • If >82 pupils want to go, split the group in 2, visit 6th – 9th May and 16th – 19th June. • Cost c. £150 • Ingestre Hall Residential Arts Centre, Ingestre, Staffordshire, ST18 0RF, Tel: 01889 270225

  3. Any changes from last year…? • Longer trip – 3 nights, not 2 • 2 activities, not 1 • Responding to feedback from parents and children.

  4. Where will we sleep…?

  5. Recently renovated dorms • Single beds • Lots of space • Girls on one floor, boys on another • Staff bedrooms along each of the children’s corridors • Separate showers and toilets along each children’s corridor

  6. Where and what will we eat…?

  7. The dining hall • Will seat c.60 in one sitting • Additional seating in the room next door • Cater for all dietary needs • Three meals a day, all cooked on site

  8. What will they do…? Music studio Music studio Art studio Dance studio

  9. What will they do…? • Arts residential – working to a theme chosen by the school • Choose two aspects to concentrate on from: dance, music, drama, art and film making and animation • Work in groups of 11 (dep on size of whole group) • Each group led by member of centre staff, supervised by one member of school staff • There will be a chance for parents to see the work on our return

Art group – an old shirt or apron Dance/drama group – loose fitting clothing Music group – their own instrument (should they wish to) Slippers A pair of indoor shoes A pair of outdoor shoes/ wellies Pocket money (max £5) Warm, Waterproof coat Gloves, scarf, hat Warm old clothes Comfortable clothes Pyjamas Teddy Wash kit Towel Book What should my child bring…?

  11. Please don’t bring… • Electrical items • Mobile phones • Games consoles • iPods • Precious jewellery • Brand new clothes • Unnamed items

  12. When and what will I need to pay…? Cost c. £150 Can be paid all at once or in instalments A deposit of £30 on or before Friday 27th September Further details to follow when we have a clear idea of numbers.

  13. What will happen now? Children will bring a consent form home asking for medical and dietary information and a deposit of £30. Please return by Tuesday 1st October. A repeat of today’s information at the Y5 induction meeting next term on Friday 13th September Deadline to sign children up for the residential: Tuesday 1st October Further details to follow when we have a clear idea of numbers.
