This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the proper use of the AeroChamber Mini AC aerosol chamber with a metered dose inhaler (MDI) in a ventilator circuit. The process includes removing the MDI canister, priming it, connecting the AeroChamber to the endotracheal tube, and delivering medication effectively to the patient. Ensure that you follow the guidelines for multiple doses and proper ventilation. This method enhances aerosol delivery during mechanical ventilation, ensuring optimal dosing and patient care.

For Use in a Ventilator Circuit • Remove the Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) aerosol canister from the MDI boot.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • Insert the MDI canister into the AeroChamber mini* AC canister port.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • Prime the MDI prior to use by shaking the MDI and chamber and then depressing the MDI. Repeat this step a second time.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • Disconnect the Ventilator Circuit from the Endotracheal Tube 15mm connector.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • Attach the AeroChamber mini* AC with the canister to the Endotracheal tube 15 mm connector.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • Attach the Ventilator circuit to the 15mm Outside Diameter at the back of the AeroChamber mini* AC.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • While holding the MDI canister vertically, depress the MDI canister downward into the AeroChamber mini* AC actuator and introduce one puff of medication into the Chamber.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • Ventilate the patient with 15 -20 Breaths.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit NOTE: For more than one dose keep the AeroChamber mini* AC in the circuit, remove the MDI canister from the AeroChamber mini* AC, shake the canister and re-insert into the AeroChamber mini*AC canister actuator. Repeat steps 7 through 8.
For use in a Ventilator Circuit • Disconnect the AeroChamber mini* AC from the Endotracheal Tube connector and circuit and connect the ventilator circuit to the Endotracheal tube and commence the normal ventilation.
