  2. We’ve Talked About The Goodness of Sex • Our sexuality involves our emotional and spiritual makeup. • Sexual activity involves respect: • *looking at ourselves as creations of God *looking at others as personsnot objects to be used.

  3. Commandments: Six and Nine • 6) You shall not commit adultery. • 9) You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. • These commandments serve as safeguards of God’s intention for human sexuality. • They warn against the disrespectful and harmful actions involving sex.

  4. Why is Sexual Intercourse for Marriage? Because sex is an intimateact. Husband and wife give themselves totally and exclusively to each other in marriage.

  5. This act of total self-giving represents their relationship: In marriage, they have committed themselves to each other in a exclusive covenant of love. • God created our sexual makeup to bea sign of that covenant.

  6. Agree or Disagree: But if we're in love and not married, isn't sex ok?
