  3. Evaluation…Planning for next yr. • Federal mandate • Teachers provide input on CTE program improvement efforts for following year • Allows time to meet with CTE industry partners – advisory committee meeting • Teachers & Admin.: where you are, where you want to be, how to get there

Evaluation Process & Application • Prep for application: 6 Step Process • E1 & E2 Data reporting • Teacher inventory update - Verification • Student skill attainment – Industry aspects • Input from industry – Advisory meeting • Identify strength and growth areas for CTE program – District CTE Plan • Adjust goals for following year –CTE Plan Update, Use of Perkins Funds for new classes

Evaluation Process:Teachers do this every day! • How Fontana USD approached this; time frame they developed; implementation • Perkins Requirements – CTE progress • Sequence of Courses, Articulation Agreements & Updates • Advisory Meeting for Industry Input • Equipment Requests for Program Improvement – CTE App. & Plan Update

Perkins Timeline and Due Dates Timeline for Claims, Applications, Follow-up and Reports: Working with 3 annual cycles concurrently: • 2011-12 Data cycle is previous year – Eval./Data • 2012-13 Use of funds is current year – Eval./Data • 2013-14 Preparing application for next year • FPM Review Cycle - Review of documents from 2011-12 and 2012-13

Perkins Timeline and Due Dates • Sept 30 • VE-5 Quarterly Claim for fourth quarter April 1 through June 30 and funds not previously claimed • October 15 • CDE 20 Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (ROC/P) and Adult Education Submission of Economically Disadvantaged Adult Enrollment Report to Establish Eligibility for the Section 132 Funds • October 15 • (Data System opens July 1 and closes Oct. 15) • CDE 101 E1 Career Technical Education Enrollment and Program Completion Report • October 31 • VE-5 Quarterly Claim for first quarter July 1 through September 30 • January 31 (Mandatory) • VE-5 Mandatory Quarterly Claim for second quarter October 1 through December 3
