  3. NORMAL SKIN Normal/Balanced Skin: Normal skin has the perfect hydration balance and oil level. This type of skin can have some enlarged pores but smaller pores overall, even tone and touch smooth. DRY SKIN Dry skin: Dry skin may have tiny to small pores all over  the face and lacks oil production, which in  turn moisturizes the skin. Dry skin characteris tics may look matte or dull, flakey, itchy, scaly  and can get irritated by dryness. OILY SKIN Oily skin: Oily skin appears to have larger pores all ove r the face including the area around the ear.  This form of skin can look coarse or "thick"  and tends to become congested easily, with  excess oil or "shine."   6. COMBINATION SKIN Combination skin: Combination skin will have areas of both dryness and oiliness. In combination skin the skin types vary in the T-zone and the cheeks. The so-called T-zone can differ substantially – from a very slim zone to an extended area.
