6. An overview • Opium use has a long history in Iran. For treatment, Antidote or abuse.

Overview of use • Opium(various forms), heroin, concentrated (in Iran called crack!), Methamphetamine(called Shishe), various kind of THC( called hashish in extract form),Alcohol… are found in Iran. • The percentage of use is based on the age, accessibility, cost, socioeconomic status of user and the place of use. • For example Ritalin is common between university student or MDMA use in rave parties.

8. Legal treatments • The main decision-maker is government by Iran Drug Control Headquarters. And then this decision referred to other governmental or nongovernmental organization. • They work on all field of drug use control; from struggle with smugglers to rehabilitation centers for addicts • So the treatments is also under governmental supervision.
