  2. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • The number of EXARC members rose last year from 130 to 195. • At the end of 2013 we had members in 30 countries.

  3. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • On Social Media we reached an audience of almost 10,000 people, spread over different groups and pages. We grew 100% within a year.

  4. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • In SagnlandetLejre we co-hosted a conference on the history of experimental archaeology. Keynote speaker was Hans-Ole Hansen. • Proceedings with extra articles will be published by us in 2014.

  5. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • We met in Hungary. EXARC, together with CsikiPihenökert, hosted a conference on “live interpretation and education: behind the scenes and international stories”. Members from 7 countries joined.

  6. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • We travelled to: Cardiff (7th UK EA conference)Budapest (preparaition of an EXARC meeting) Dublin (speaking at UCD) • Alphen a/d Rijn (OpenArch conference and EXARC AGM)Exeter (OpenArch workshop) Travo(conference around 20th anniversary of Travo) Moscow (Times and Epochs Festival, Kolomenskoye Park) Rio de Janeiro (ICOM, funded by OpenArch) Bratislava (Roman Limes cooperation) • Albersdorf(OpenArch conference)

  7. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • We added over 125 old EuroREA Journal articles as PDFs online • We re-organisedthe EXARC Journal adding two extrasections on Interpretation and Ancient Technology. • We printed the 2013EXARC Journal Digest. 7

  8. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • In cooperation with Hunebedcentrum and the help of other OpenArch partners, EXARC produced a book on PR for Archaeological Open‐Air Museums (56 pages). It was distributed in OpenArch. In 2014 all Institutional Members of EXARC got a free copy.

  9. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • We are well involved in the Winter Conference on Experimental Archaeology in the UK, which exceptionally will be hosted in Dublin next year. • We approached about 200 AOAMs with a personalized email, asking them to become member. These mails were in their native language. • We got 100 USA archaeological open‐air museums presented on our interactive map. • We approached 24 open‐air museums in Russia and 80 open‐air museums in South Africa; they got a letter and a folder.

  10. itself can look back at a very active 2013 • EXARC shows our support for our members when needed by sending letters of reccommendation. Examples are the Marshall of the Swietokrzyskie Province (PL), AZH Hitzacker (DE) and RoterHahn (DE). This type of support is given several times a year, more often than previously – both because of the crisis and EXARCs growing reputation.

  11. Thank You All who help EXARC grow
