Spirit -----by Dead Can Dance Would just fall apart and slip through my hands But the spirit of life keeps us strong And the spirit of life is the will to carry on Adversity what have i done to you To cause this reclusive silence That has come between me and you And the spirit of life remains in light And the spirit of life remains inside I never thought it would be quite like this Living outside of mutual bliss But as long as the veins in our arm still stand up I thought i'd found a reason to live Just like before when i was a child Only to find dreams made of sand Would just fall apart and slip through my hands But the spirit of life keeps us strong And the spirit of life is the will to carry on Adversity what have i done to you To cause this reclusive silence That has come between me and you And the spirit of life remains in light And the spirit of life remains inside I never thought it would be quite like this Living outside of mutual bliss But as long as the veins in our arm still stand up The spirit of life will keep living on

  6. Translation Spirit Xin Ling (心灵) Spirit has many meanings in different contexts. The word s commonly used to refer to a supernatural being which is transcendent and therefore metaphysical in nature. For many people, however, spirit, like soul, is a natural part of a being, and is identified with mind, or consciousness, or the brain. Xin Ling in Chinese, means one’s inner world of the heart, sometimes thoughts and feelings as well. Compared English translation with Chinese translation, the former one is more comprehensive. English translation contains Chinese translation.

  7. “Fulfilment must be sought through the spirit, not the material.” I did not realize the importance of the meaning that this sentence gave to me until one thing happened in my middle school. There was a period of time I didn’t really focus on my study, instead I spent a lot of time on buying clothes staff and having fun with my friends. Then my studies went down rapidly and I was very sad about that. I suddenly realized this living style was not what I want, so I know enriching my mind was and will always be the thing I have to in my whole life.
