  7. Deception *Telling lies *Not telling the whole truth *Changing facts

  8. Rhetorical Questions *Leaders ask questions that the audience is not expected to answer *they provide the answers so no one has to think for themselves

  9. Testimonial *The use of a famous person to endorse a product

  10. Bandwagoning Act now or be left out!

  11. Loaded Words *Duty *Enemy *Honor *Liberal *Respect *Conservative *Brother*Weak

  12. Hasty Generalization *All (all short people are smart) *Never (red heads never win) *Everyone (everyone is failing this class) *Stereotyping

  13. False Cause and Effect “Non Sequiter” which means in Latin: it does not follow. *I broke a mirror this morning and failed my science test.

  14. Black or White Argument Giving only two solutions *“We either fight or we die” *“We have to cut education spending or have an unbalanced budget”
